Strange as it may sound, there never
was a "Jeff" involved in the restaurant.
In 1979, Bob Iwaskiewicz & Michele Bessett bought the fresh fish truck business
from Jeff Norton and kept the name. Bob and Michele opened a fresh fish market and
deli on Kingman street in St. Albans and moved to our Main Street location in 1989.
By 1990 Jeff's Maine Seafood was a full-fledged Restaurant,
fresh fish market and caterer.
Jamie West, who worked as the restaurant's sous chef for two years,
bought Jeff's in 1996 and now runs it with his Mom, Marie Anne West.
The restaurant has grown in the years since and has recently added
Jeff's Market and The Wine Shop next door.
Jeff's offers fresh fish and locally produced foods with great value and
friendly service that prompted Yankee Magazine's travel guide editor to
select Jeff's as one the outstanding reasons to visit New England.
Jeff drops in from time-to-time. We hope you'll visit us soon too!
